Electrifying Green Juice with Seeded Grapes & Fennel (September Recipe)

Late September is when the harvest gets sweet, crisp, and just right for juicing —and this week I hit the East End Food Co-op to find something bold, hydrating, and functional to juice.

I put together an electrifying green juice packed with benefits. This juice hydrates, supports digestion, boosts circulation, and gives you a dose of anti-inflammatory power—all while tasting fresh and crisp. Let’s get into it.

Green Juice Recipe with Fennel, Grapes, Cucumber, Ginger, and Key Lime

🌿 Fennel: The Secret Weapon

Fennel might not be your first thought for a juice ingredient, but it should be.

  • Helps with bloating and digestion

  • Cools the system during seasonal transitions

  • Has a crisp, refreshing taste with slight mint or licorice notes

For this recipe, I used the bulb, the stems, and just a few of the floral tops for aroma and balance.

🍇 Why Seeded Grapes?

Seeded grapes are a powerhouse. Most folks reach for the seedless kind, but the seeds hold some of the most potent nutrients—antioxidants like oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) that support heart health, blood flow, and inflammation reduction.

When you juice them with the right machine (I use the Kuvings Auto 10 Plus, more on that below), you can extract those benefits without chewing on seeds or getting grit.

🥒 Cucumber: The Hydration Hero

Cucumbers add volume, hydration, and a neutral base that pairs well with the sharper flavors of fennel and ginger. They’re a staple in most of my green juice recipes and help keep your body flushed and cool.

🔥 Ginger & Lime: The Finishing Touches

Ginger is warming, awakening, and anti-inflammatory. I add it to nearly every juice I make. A little goes a long way.

Key lime brings that brightness, preserves the juice from oxidizing, and helps with digestion and detoxification.

🧼 Produce Cleaning Method

Before juicing, I always cleanse my produce with sea salt and key lime water. Let everything soak for a few minutes, then rinse well. This helps remove surface residue and gives you peace of mind when working with thin-skinned produce like grapes and cucumber.

🧃 The Juice Recipe

Here’s what I used to make this functional, refreshing green juice:
