Peace, family!
If you’re looking for a creamy, refreshing smoothie that’s full of nutrients—without needing plant milk, added water, or even a traditional high-speed blender—this is for you.
Today I’m sharing my Avocado Mango Smoothie, made with fresh orange juice and the smoothie strainer on my Kuvings AUTO10 Plus juicer. But don’t worry—if you don’t have a juicer, you can still make this in a blender (more on that below).
What You’ll Need
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen mango (slightly thawed)
1 ripe avocado (frozen and slightly thawed)
2 tbsp soaked hemp seeds
1 ¼ cups fresh-pressed orange juice
Equipment Options:
Best Option: Kuvings AUTO10 Plus juicer with smoothie strainer
Alternative: A high-quality blender—preferably one with vacuum functionality to reduce oxidation
Step-by-Step Method
Add your mango, avocado, and soaked hemp seeds to your juicer’s hopper.
Let the juicer begin pressing the ingredients slowly.
Pour in the orange juice gradually.
Let the pressure-based system blend everything together into a thick, spoonable texture.
The smoothie strainer doesn’t filter out pulp—it squeezes ingredients into a unified mix without heat, without spinning blades, and without dilution.
💡 Using a blender instead?
Go for it—especially if it’s a vacuum blender. Vacuum blending helps preserve nutrients by minimizing exposure to oxygen and heat during blending. You’ll still get a delicious, creamy result—just know that the texture and brightness may vary slightly depending on your blender.
Why This Method Works Better

Blenders are fast—but fast often means friction. That friction creates heat, which can break down sensitive vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants. It also introduces air, which speeds up oxidation, dulls color, and shortens shelf life.
By using a juicer with a smoothie strainer—or a vacuum blender—you protect the natural integrity of your ingredients. Here’s what you get:
Brighter color
Better flavor
More preserved nutrients
Creamier texture without added thickeners
Benefits in Every Sip
This isn’t just a “tastes good” smoothie—it’s loaded with wellness fuel:
Avocado: Creamy texture, packed with fiber, potassium, and healthy fats.
Mango: Rich in vitamin A and antioxidants, naturally sweet and tropical.
Hemp Seeds: A complete plant-based protein with omega-3s.
Orange Juice: Fresh hydration with a hit of vitamin C and citrus energy.
All of that—no added sugar, no gums, no filler ingredients.

Don’t have a juicer? Use a blender—just make sure you:
Use minimal juice to avoid thinning it out too much
Blend slowly
Let frozen ingredients thaw slightly
Use a vacuum blender if possible for optimal nutrient protection
Final Thoughts
Smoothies don’t have to be icy, watered-down, or overly sweet. This method gives you a nutrient-dense, creamy smoothie without losing flavor or benefits to heat and air. Whether you use a juicer or vacuum blender, you’re going to feel and taste the difference.
